What luck to be here in San fransico when the Americas Cup is on. I have never been that interested in it, as I found the mono hulls boring, now with these 75 foot catamarans it blows you away watching these amazing boats, with speeds of 40+ knots downwind and 27 knots upwind. And its been great meeting new people in the crowds, mostly kiwis who have flown half way around the world to come and support their home team. Also a chance to catch up with friends from all over the bay as we are all drawn to this spectacular display of machines and sailors. I love how close they come to the shoreline, still wish they would come closer, it lets the crowd get involved. At the moment the kiwis need only 3 points to win and take the cup back to New Zealand, come on kiwis!
